A quirky and ugly photo, but for some reason I keep coming back to it. The other submissions that used masks really turned me off as cliche and setup. The angle of this shot, the banal back ground and even the awkward reflection of the lamp on the wall, all add to the photo's off-beat fun. Looking forward to your future submissions.

I'm sorry, but pictures of masks and figurines need to be pretty special to make it.

i actually quite like this one. it's got a snapshot feel to it, but that's not always a bad thing. It has a raw quality to it rather than being over photoshopped. i like the pose and the angle, and the gritty siding adds interest. 10

great mask. possibly a little more thought could have gone into composition and setting?

The first question most viewers will ask is... why did you take this picture? Because it is not immediately apparent your score will suffer. Taking the picture from a low perspective is a good idea, but should have chosen a different and darker background. The background is far to distracting and adds little to the composition. The image has more of a look of a kid playing around than it does to darkness. A different posture and different lighting from unexpected angles with a less a distracting and clutter background could make this image work.

Lighting and Setting seem to be holding you back here. On Camera flash or vehicle lights will always leave a harsh shadow. The setting really takes away from the subject. I might have taken the shot in a different location that would have centered focus on the mask... You know what would be fun (mask as prop)is to have the person with the mask in a bed with hand reaching out giving the view the idea that he/she is going to get in bed with that...or worse monster masked person with a cigarette giving the viewer the impression he/she just...well you know.

Anyways I think Lighting and Location could be a bit better, I like the angle as it makes the monster person look bigger than life.
