Challenge: Fantasy World (Advanced Editing IV)
Camera: Fujifilm FinePix A340 Zoom
Location: Foxwood Hotel
Date: Jun 14, 2005
Aperture: f3.1
ISO: 100
Shutter: 0.3sec
Date Uploaded: Jun 15, 2005

Taken inside the hotel of Foxwood casino...picture was cropped, sharpened edges, adjusted color with curves and after much contemplation, figuring it would probably doom this image knowing the voters here, used the plastic wrap filter because it gave the shimmery look I wanted for Atlantis. Additionally, I cloned out a black spotlight in left background.

Very different - is this in a restaurant or something? 5

Decent color, detail and image quality. Composition is OK. Good subject for the challenge.

On the technical side the contrast is just a little weak and a simple autocontrast will add pop to the image. You might consider a color adjustment to add about 10-15% saturation to yellow, red and light blue for added viewer interest. A small amount of dodge and burn would give the image more texture.

THis is both fascinating and ugly as sin. I love it!

It's an interesting photo, I'll give you that, but I have a personal dislike for "generic" Photoshop filters, and I've only found 1 or 2 uses for this particular one. The more I look, the more I'm able to look past the filter, but overall I find it a distraction.

Photo has too much going on, no real central focus to make the score jump. If the background had been faded out, not so bright would improve the picture

I know this filter! Plastic wrap!

Very strange effect but I like it just for it's audacious weirdness. I'm not a fan of overphotoshopping though so I've docked a coupla points for that. Lovely colours, though and you've done well to retain an obvious subject in a busy image.

Good luck with the challenge

Mondo Bizarro. Reminds me of what our images looked like whenw e physically manipulated Sx-70 polaroid images as they were developing, pushing the soft emulsion around. Really sweet.

Creative effort. Major points for attempting it. It is, however, a little cluttered and busy for me. Not sure I can make it all out. Do like the effects you achieved on the fish and the seaweed. Fun photo.
