I like the photo but a shallow DOF would have been nice to blur the trees. |

We all know that this is a metal challenge. Excluding the word "metal" would reflect a differant perspective, and strengthen the title.
Touristy, nice light, nice color, nice comp, blacks good, whites ok, nice lines but not impressive, nice dof, overall pretty boring |

This could be disqualified on the basis of being a literal interpretation of existing artwork. Hopefully it won't be disqualified, though. |

This looks like a great subject. The path in the backgorund is distracting. I would suggest either getting very low so it is not in the shot or moving so that it becomes a leading line to the main subject. The time of day did not do you any favours, early or late would have provided better shadows and a warmer light. I still like the shot, these two items would make it much better. You might want to try and do a reshoot and see what you come up with. |
