I scored this a 9. Really great job. Love the texture and lighting. Nice composition too.

I gave you a 6 Alienyst - i thought you were brave for using a not rusted/ not shiney type of metal like zinc. Being an aussie, zinc to me is the white crap we smear acorss out noses on sunny days - which is what i instantly thought of seeing these bars (zinc oxide sunscreen comes in bars like chapsticks).
At first i thought they were wrapped in metall paper like a crayon, afterwards realising that it was back-lit. A very affective use of this technique that definately gave the picture a little extra oomph.
The image is sharp, and the light sort of draws you back though the gaps. The zinc fades a bit too much for my liking into the background in the bottom row, i would have liked to see that nice bluishblack in the top of the pile in all the rods.
I wonder if this wouldnt be more interesting if it was taken from a slight angle, so that the pyramid wasn't facting us head on, but you could still see the light down the rods.
As i have said, a brave, and nicely exicuted photo.

Thanks for all the comments! I do appreciate them. In response to one - pure zinc is not shiney until you melt, cut, or break it.

Very cool image. I'm not crazy about the dark areas at the bottom, but overall very creative and interesting. Nice work.

This looks like metal in the raw. I am not sure about that light. Color? Seems like you could have really made a dramatic shot with lot of shine.

I really like the setup of this, with the lights shining from behind. Very nice.
