Your lighting is a little harsh on this subject as the nose and cheek are blown out. - 5 |

These guys are so interesting they do belong in the fantasy realm. A very nice image. |

excellent detail on its scales and face and mouth ... lizards are so much fun to capture on camera ... i guess in your fantasy world they rule the world huh? |

Classic movie scene. I do think the highlights are just a little too bright (some of the horns on his cheek and the spikes on his back), which draw attention away from the eye which should be the focus. DOF is good with the eye really sharp, but my eye keeps wandering down to his cheek/jowels. 6 |

I think I used to date his daughter... AWESOME photo though! I wish the rock in the right foreground were less sharp, but the lizard is terrific. 7 |

The lack of perspective regarding the size of the lizard is a fantastic inclusion (or should I say exclusion). Great detail on his face, great DOF, great image!
Good luck!

I agree, those monsters look like they came out from some horror movie.
About the photo, is sharp, good dof and composition. |

Fun way to meet the challenge. Love the head and front leg for detail and clarity. The back is a blurry. |

the body tends to run out of focus ...if that were corrected ...a further 3 points your way.. |

It's sharp and stuff, but the only link to the challenge is the title itself! I mean no offense, k? |

I admit those things look bizarre (yet I can still see beauty there), but you are relying very heavily on the title to make this fit this challenge. Great shot of the lizard, though! |

Yep - he's ugly - the scene could be Mars - the lighting is a bit harsh, does the sun rise and set on Mars? If so try the shot when the sun isnt so high. I assme mars has no cloud cover so you cant use clouds to mute the sun. |

excellent photo technically, however the effect of giant lizard would have worked better if there was something else in the photo to relate the size to imo. 7 |
