I know I'm going to get a lot of 1's and 2's for this picture. It is probably going to be considered in bad taste, etc, plus it lacks sharp focus, and quality but I hope I have made a good composition out of it, at least.

I could not pass this up! While spending a quiet Easter sunday playing with my kids in their Grandma's backyard, I spotted this bird sitting on a railing. I observed it sitting there for some time, when all of a sudden the second bird came along, and payed a couple of short visits to the female. I pulled out my camera, and Voila!

Hello there, thanks for the chuckle!
First off, I think this is a great photojournalistic shot.
Definatley fauna with a great title.
The only thing I could add to what you already know is that composition wise it is usually better to have more room in front of your subject then it is to have it behind, kind of a leading into the frame instead of out of the frame. Otherwise I like the way you have composed the birds with the fence and the brick.
Good job on this challenge and good luck with future ones.

Interesting. Cute title too. This is a little bit out of focus. I'm not so sure I would've put them this high on the frame

so is that how they do it? i think you didn't need so much space on the bottom half of the photo, and the focus seems to be a little soft on the lovely couple, but they were probably moving around and hard to capture in the right . . . position.

Can't you give these guys some privacy? How would you feel if someone with a camera shows up when you're in the middle of the act? :) Good catch though. Nice light and dof. 7 Journey
