| Color may have been good here as a contrast between earth and sky. LIke redland and gray sky or blue sky. |

I like this stark landscape, dramatic and other wordly it most certainly is. I think you'll get a lot of people claming that this did not meet the challenge, but I figure any strange, dramatic landscape fits.
Perhaps try pushing up the contrast with this, or desaturating using the channel mixer instead of the 'normal way'.
As it is the shot is a little unstriking and bland (but not too much) - a 7 from me.
