| Just curious, no criticism; but why didn't you just pick the straw out of the frame before you shot? I guess you wanted it in. But due to its bright color and non-conformity to the environment, it immediately becomes the subject, regardless of your title. |

| The rust contributes to good texture. The contrast allows for differentiation between the different objects.. The focus on the bolt is spot-on. But that straw in background kills it. Rate: 1 |

| The straw with spot colour kinds of pulls my eyes away from your subject. I think you should have taken this out. It detracts from the bolt in the middle. Otherwise an interesting shot. |

we all know its a "metal" challenge, why not just say "Rusty", it makes the titleing stronger.
lighting nice, comp needs work, nice texture, color nice, straw distracting, overall very boring |

I can see it's rusty LOL. Only thing you should've done in my opinion, is crop out the blurry part below, it's distracting my eye, while the blurry part above doesn't.
Lay your hand over the lower part and you'll see the photo is coming out much stronger. I'll rate it a 6 because of that. |
