Focus is so off that this almost looks fake. The flash doesn't work well for the time of day that it is.

If enough resolution was available I would probably have cropped this a little tighter.

Good use of fill-in. But your main subject is blurred. It's a pitty, as it is a well-balanced shot. The camera seems to have focused on the background.

I would have liked it better if the tree had not been on the subject's back.

Is that bait? (I hope it's not the catch of the day!) Focus appears centered on man's forward arm. Motion might not be good in this case, try faster exposure. Man really stands out, like an overlay, but it's not. I like that you caught the sinker. Nice touch.

if your camera has the ability, spot metering or manually focusing would have the subject focused versus the background, if not, pointing the camera at the subject and lightly depressing the button would "force" the camera to focus where you wanted it to

This is a bit of a snapshot, but I love that guy, in his singlet with a ciggie hanging out of his mouth, looking unimpressed with his catch. It's funny :)

It looks like your camera has focused on the background of your photo

Nice separation of subject from background. Good night shot. Fish has a shadow.
