Great image. Very powerful in its composition, coloring, tonal range and focus/DOF. Not sure about challenge relevance, however.

Oh WOW, did your cat drag that one in? Mine do all the time and put them in the shower for us to find in the morning. Don't know how the voters are voting this one, but allthough it isn't a pretty sight, I still like the way you've captured it. I'll rate it a 7.

This is just gross! There does not seem to be an attempt made to compose the shot, the lighting is poor and the subject is disgusting. Therefore, not an appealing image.

This bird is most 'definitely broken and discarded' but on the whole I dont think the picture adds mucht to the idea of obsolete. Just my opinion

I kind of thought this was inappropriate. In some definition it my meet the challenge, but it is more disgusting than anything else. I just ate lunch - did not have to see this.

Lighting could have been better on this one. The shade would be good to accentuate death, but the streaks of sunlight spoil the image. Not sure about meeting the challenge, though. Yes, title indicates usefulness but who read the title with a such powerful image? 5
