Challenge: Leading Lines II (Advanced Editing IV)
Camera: Canon PowerShot G2
Location: Dorm Room
Date: Jun 26, 2005
Aperture: 2.5
ISO: 50
Shutter: 1/8
Galleries: Humorous, Black and White
Date Uploaded: Jun 24, 2005

I got the idea after watching Adaptation and pondering for a moment. This will be the first member challenge I enter.

The editting went something like this:

Channel Mixer to isolate the green channel for b/w
Brightness/Contrast
Rotate
Crop
Selectively sharpen the hand

The text was printed onto a piece of paper, but due to photographing ink on paper, this had to be fixed up in the final. This editting went like this:

Selectively Gaussian Blur the text
Selectively Burn the text
Selectively Sharpen the text

Funny! 10!
Some minor technical aspects:
- The box around 'rest of the picture' is somewhat overexposed
- The hand is oversharpened

A very inventive shot indeed. The text at the bottom looks a little jagged, though.

Nice take Captain Obvious :-)
Would have liked to see a little less harsh of a shadow

That certainly is an interesting take on the challenge. I like it. I like the way the shadows make the label at the top look 3-dimensional.

I don't see how this fit's the challenge. J/K!
Well done humor and a nicely composed picture.

Meets the challenge. Leading line actually leads somewhere. I could see this or a derivative in a magazine or newspaper ad. I fear it will score poorly, however. It is not a subject that will engender love among the DPC voters. Hope I'm wrong.

This looks like it may be .... Graphicfunk? :) Very clever and I like seeing something different! Simple yet it leaves you wanting more.....

Too clever, too set up, I feel. I'll give benefit of the doubt, because in some ways, the idea is different and appeals because of that. 6

We all know that this is a \"Leading Lines\" challenge. IMO, you could of done better on the title.

NIce use of props, beautiful b&w's, Some thing funny with the thumbs edging, maybe to much sharpening, geat lighting, nice texture, overall very out of the box, nice job
