I see this every day on the way to work. It has been there for over two years. The work already done is it. No more, I am not even sure if it still works. The grass has grown up around it and it is completely rusted over. It just stands out in my mind as lonely and forgotten.

Too much non productive space in the picture ... looks like a snapshot ... lighting is not the best .

I gave you a higher score than I normally would have just because you mentioned "Mike Mulligan". I LOVED that book when I was a child.

Nice snapshot. I think it would be more effective to get closer to your subject or crop tighter. To tell you the truth, picture seems flat and uninteresting 4

I had may shots like this - the subject, the shovel, is too dark, underexposed. the hillside, the background in this shot, is too bright and powerful. no easy fix - fill flash is hte accepted remedy, but this is a large subject and a fari distance away so a lot of flash equipment would be needed.
