Really stretching to get the subject I don't see it. The sky is washed out and the colors are flat. I like the angle of the people but, that doesn't make this picture.

Great photo, but a stretch for this challenge.

I think had the focus been on the windmill and the people blurred it would have had a better effect.

Seems the windmill is incidental to the focus of this photo. Interesting angle and otherwise pretty good exposure on the people. The blown sky detracts.

This picture really doesn't seem right. I feel like I going to tip over. Don't know what to do different. Also, I wish the windmill was little more in focus.

Nice exposure. The windmill is not really the main subject in this picture, the 2 people in forground are. Very good shot of them, except I would have tried to have more of the ladies face in it. Just my opinon though. Bumped you from a 3 to a 5 on this second look thru.

well, the focus seems to be on the people in the foreground not the windmill. They don't look obsolete to me

Hmmm, my eye's not exactly focussing on the old windmill, I'm being distracted by something else! A change of DoF into the background would have met the challenge

Subject in this picture appears more to be the couple and not the windmill which, by the title, I take it was to be your obsolete object. Wouldn't have known it if for that. BOOO :-) Weird angle, but nice couple. Would like to see more of the woman's face.

The focus certainly on the human. Perhaps the romance is in a whirlwind downhill battle for the poor guy who obviously wants more of the girl. Thus the closest I get to obsolete, will be his single days.

It seems that the couple is the focus of this picture and not the windmill. I am not sure I really see it as fitting the challange.

I like the composition, but it seems more like a couple shot than a windmill shot.

Sorry - but the windmill is NOT the subject of this image. Clearly the 2 people were!

Cool angle.

If there were no title to the photo, I'd assume the subject was "young people" or "amusement park". I would have liked to see the focus on the windmill, and the people blown out, rather than obscurring the windmill.

And the focus is on the people???

Not really the focal point..........in this shot..............

This would be better if the windmill was actually the subject of the photo.

I think that because the people are in foreground and in focus these are the main subjects. The out of focus windmill blends into the background. Therefore, I don't believe this meets the challenge exception.

Nice enough image though
