FIRST IMPRESSION: Fun subject, nice progression.
CHALLENGE: Meets the challenge.
COMPOSITION: All three shots are composed well overall, but the background does not appear to be very well thought out. The chair and table in the background are distracting in my opinion. These strike me individually as grab shots rather than planned photographs, but as a group they work well together for the theme.
TECHNICAL: Exposure is good, though the lighting is a bit stong in front and fades in a manner suggesting use of a flash as your primary light source (though the shot fortunately lacks the hard shadows typically seen in flash photography).
CONCLUSION: A good, promising subject that could be strengthened with additional attention to lighting. I wonder if the progression might flow more naturally if the last shot were placed first, though upon reading your comments I understand why you laid it out the way you did. These are among the better of the child shots I've seen submitted to challenges; your contribution actually belongs in the challenge, where many others' "kid shots" strike me as someone using the challenge as an excuse to show off their kids.
Thanks for sharing and good luck in future challenges!

I suppose these shots are intended to have a candid feel to them, but the result isn't very visually appealing. The cluttered background and pretty much expressionless child detract from the shot. The Mr.Potato Head concept was a good idea, and if you had simplified the shot and done close up shots of different stages of potato head construction I think the result would have been very interesting. |

The order seems a little backward on this one. My kids have this Mr. Potatohead kit and about 4 other ones too. Adorable little girl. I wish the background wasn't quite so busy. |

Cute little girl. You keep a clean and tidy house. This is a tough challenge, since each frame has to be so small. Perhaps asking the girl to pick just one Mr. Potato Head and getting closer into the action would have allowed more detail (though I am pretty impressed with the clarity of these shots). 7 Rob the Swash |

Nice arrangement of photos. Cute girl. I wish the lighting and background were more interesting. Still, nice candids. |

Cute. I don't like the negative space however, and the images could be larger. |

Sweet content!! She looks sad to have to pack up in the last one though!!
I'm not keen on the different height levels of the images. |
