How INCREDIBLE.
Take a bible, snap a picture of it, then title it "religion". Cause it's the 'obsolete' challenge,so creative. I mean why even make it a good or interesting or well framed picture, that would take away from the oh so important message. Heck let's stop taking photos altogether and just start writing letters to each other about our stances on different topics!
Quit making statements and make a real photograph. |

| IMO misses the spirit of the challenge. You may believe the Bible is obsolete but a billion or so people would disagree. Maybe it is obsolete in your life, in which case I can follow your logic a bit better. |

Does not meet the challenge IMHO. I see a bible. Still the most popular book in the world. So i look to your title, and i understand the symbolism. I understand that in todays world technology has indeed made religion obsolete (no need to have a higher power to pray to to save us from the unexplained). However, based on my observation of the people on this planet, religion is not obsolete. So do i vote based on my opinion or yours? I have to vote based on my opinion. Or else, i as a voter, become obsolete.
As to the picture itself...technically acceptable, but a kind of stock shot - nothing unique or creative. Set the sucker on fire and we'll have a moving image (for better or worse). |

| Politics, war and work should also be declared obsolete, however as all od the aforementioned as well as religion is practiced my millions I feel it is out of context with the challenge. |

Fit to challenge criteria: 1/2 - arguable and controversial (a good thing) but doesn't make me think obsolete when I look at it.
Contrast/Colors: 1/2
Photo Quality: 1/2 - greater depth of field would get a higher rating from me.
Composition: 1/2
My subjective affinity: 1/2

| Sorry but this does not meet the challenge, how can the number 1 selling book every year including the last year, be obsolete??? Bears thinking about. The photo lacks DOF in my opinion. Good luck |
