Nice shot; I like the camera down low on rail for the angle of picture; steam in background near train adds interest as does the roughness of the pebbles against the smooth steel rail.

Bit too saturated yellow, but still nice.

i like the angle. way to get in on the action. maybe a little more contrast would help the drama of the scene

The line here really leads in to the train: I almost feel that it's coming out of the frame at me. However, the locomotive itself looks to be a little soft (perhaps your focus point was in front of it) and the sky looks a little over-processed. I find that these two things spoil the effect a little.

Got something odd going on down the bottom left in this, not sure what that is. THe rail line definitely leads to the the subject and you chose a great angle. But the subject is too cramped in the frame compositionally and its focus is not as sharp as it could have been. A really fine POV though!

What a cool picture! Train pictures always appeal to me, but I love the steam showing on this one, and the leading line there adds a lot of interest. I find myself wanting to study it more to take it all in. Good luck.

Leading lines or curves generally have two purposes. One is to lead the viewer into the scene. The other is to lead you toward the main subject. It is most effective if they come in from the lower left because that is the natural direction humans visually scan a picture from so are easiest to pick up.

This image meets the challenge in an exceptionally clever and unique way. Not only does it rivet the viewer's attention to the train but it adds an element of danger since it appears if the photographer does not move then he/she will be run over. It is difficult to create images where out-of-focus objects in the foreground work but you have pulled it off perfectly. Great job!

I didn't enter this challenge but this was the exact idea I had in mind. Good shot. Better than most because the line actually leads to something.

i'm going to be picky here, generally because i do like the image a lot. the trees are distracting me. i like the dof choice, and the texturing on the rocks in the mid ground. the train is also a nice subject, and meets the challenge theme well. 8

Please tell me that train is leaving or going to turn. I love how the yellow and the fog makes the subject stick out more. Everything leads to the subject!
