a nice idea but the shallow depth of field doesn't help |

nice tones and an interesting choice of DOF |

I find the depth of field to be too shallow to create any leading lines. |

The lines are there, but because of the shallow DOF, they don't lead the eye. |

Interesting use of shallow DOF. This is kind of an opposite leading lines to me. The lines lead away from it, expect that once the eye gets away, it just comes right back to the focal point. Great job! Cool purple tones. |

I like the concept however I am not sure about the blur effect in the background.
My eyes are drawn to that. |

I like the cool toning to this one. Well composed also. I'd like to see this with a little deeper DOF just to compare. I don't know if I would like it better or not.
I always hate to see the sky blown out like this but there's not much you could have done. |

Well exposed, but the lines from the wall aren't leading the eye anywhere. |

Nice image but the lines are not leading me to something special. Alþingishúsið, er það ekki? |

Great photo, but for this challenge I'm not sure the background being blurred is a good thing IMO. |

Leading lines or curves generally have two purposes. One is to lead the viewer into the scene. The other is to lead you toward the main subject. It is most effective if they come in from the lower left because that is the natural direction humans visually scan a picture from so are easiest to pick up.
Focus is also an effective way to direct attention to the main subject. In this case the image is nice but the viewer may be confused where you want them to look. You might consider shooting this with focus set to infinity. That way the leading lines and focus directs the viewer to the same place. |

Maybe using smaller aperture to get greater depth of field would have looked better. |

Well, usually I can specifically point out things that 'move' me, and cause me to like an image. In this case though, I can't quite put my finger on it, but I find I really like this photo. Maybe it's a bunch of little things that contribute subtly to make it work for me. Perhaps the dof, maybe the lighting, maybe the texture in the wall, perhaps the simple yet bold composition, even the border in this case adds to the presentation IMO. I don't know, but I just really like it. Great job. :-) |

like the composition I just wish the depth of field extended down the wall a little further. Tones done well, POV good. |

I like the idea of the wall leading into the distance however I feel that the objects in the distance need a little more definition. More DOF would help with this (not much, just a little). |

works well as an abstract for me, and i'd probably like to see this as a close crop on the wall itself. nice texturing, and a bit more dof would work well as well. 7 |

beautiful...really like how the sidewalk tiles strengthen the idea. the red and green in the background add a ton of interest at the destination. |
