Too much non productive space on the right , this seems to be an example of forcing a shot into the rule of thirds when it isn't a good idea.

I hate to be picky, but a navel encounter might be a honeymoon event, or perhaps a sumo tourney. My guess is that it should be naval.

Very nice subject and relevant to the challenge. For my taste, the crop is a little tight on the left. Correct that and sharpen the focus and you'd have a top 10.

Impressive! Composed with the ship slightly more to the center might help, and rotated 1.09deg clockwise. 8

very nice. watch out for those jagged lines, especially noticable on the front sail (the white sun reflected area)
