Yeah, hope you took a bunch of others around this too ... nice rays and a great setting. |

The tree makes a good silhouette against the rays of light. I feel that there are a couple of bright spots on the ground in the bottom right that could be cloned out. |

Striking centred composition and great use of light, shade and shape. That lone tree seems so frail against the onslaught of what seem like such heavy and menacing clouds and yet it's illuminated by gentle and golden rays. I don't like that line of light at the edge of distant clouds at the lower left and would clone it out myself as it leads my focus away from the wonderful tree. 9 |

nice picture, i like the mood it creates. I'd suggest cropping the left a little to get rid of those dark objects over there, i just find them distracting. 8 |

How pretty. I love captures like this with those sunrays shining down on your scene. Unmistakable leading lines. |

This would have worked better for me if the tree clump on the left side of the frame were cropped off. 6 |

Leading lines or curves generally have two purposes. One is to lead the viewer into the scene. The other is to lead you toward the main subject. It is most effective if they come in from the lower left because that is the natural direction humans visually scan a picture from so are easiest to pick up.
Attention is drawn to both the opening in the clouds which is into the scene AND the silhouetted horizon. |

If the top of the tree were a bright green and the rays alittle brighter, this shot would be a money maker! Good job! |

This is very effective use of leading lines on a couple of levels. First there's the beams of sunlight, of course. But there's also the near mirror-image of the hill and the clouds, which also work together to concentrate the viewer's attention on the same central area. I also like the fact that you're confident enough to know when to put aside the rule of thirds & go for a symmetrical composition, which is just right for this image. 9 |
