This attractive young lady was dancing in the streets at the Venice Beach Carnivale in California. There was a rack of fabric wings in the Isis style for any lady that wanted to try dancing with them.

You could tell she was having a lot of fun and also was enjoying the admiration of the crowd that gathered.

This was such a masterful shot, I am sorry it did not do better, however.. you have an excellent photo and that remains.

Excellent use of subtle yet very effective lines. They do not dominate, rather lead artfully. Nice job.

Beautiful - exotic - the waving skarf implies movement, her face implies stillness - the sunlight is perfect - I can imagine this as a CD cover - Musiic is definately involved here, the lines even look like sheet music. Leading lines like ths that just swirl around without destination are also effective. The point of a leading line is to lead the viewer to what what you want him to look at - your lines say "look at it all, it is all lovely - come around again for another look, did you niotice her smile? her headpiece? her soft colors? come around again, did you see how I balanced the red of her sleeve with the spot of red on her hat? around and around"

I find that the cloth in front of the face is a little too distracting. Good idea, though.

Beautiful! I love the wavey filter that the scarf or whatever it is has created.

A different take on the challenge. Love the mystery you've captured.

What a cool looking photo! I love the dreamy effect of what I'm assuming is a flowing scarf. Amazing capture and composition. One of my favorites here in this challenge, which is saying a lot because of how many great ones there are!

couldn't figure our what to say about this one. Just really liked it. Do hope not too much was done in photo shop. I just tend to still think it might have been captured that way.

I think this is one of the most unusual and uniquely beautiful shots in this challenge. The lines of fabric in the silk scarf are superbly captured. The lighting is a little bright around her face and I'd have loved to see her eyes open, but those are VERY minor comments when compared to the overall appeal of the image. Outstanding job. 9

Leading lines or curves generally have two purposes. One is to lead the viewer into the scene. The other is to lead you toward the main subject. It is most effective if they come in from the lower left because that is the natural direction humans visually scan a picture from so are easiest to pick up.

The lines do not really direct attention to the woman per se but this is a strong composition otherwise.

Very interesting capture. If it was planned - great job on the foresight, if it was spontaneous at an event - great timing! ;^)

A beautiful & highly artistic image with a timeless quality that makes the title so apposite. I guess the lovely (and indeed dream-like) lines are created by some sort of pleated fabric? Whatever, it's an impressive yet effortless satisfaction of the challenge theme. 8

This image has the feeling of "underwater" about it, beautiful face and splendid head cover

Beautiful. The thumb grabs, the image doesn't disappoint. Nice eye to take this. One complaint might be the haze feel, but that's a minor element compared to the overall image. 8
