Greetings from the Critique Club...
Hi Paully...
I can't offer you much of a critique on this image... as i commented earlier, I couldn't figure out what I'm looking at. Your comment says 'a wheel'. I still can't draw that conclusion from this image... sorry... better luck next time...

i didn't vote on this image, and having read through the comments, yeah the quality/pixelation etc (i don't know if that was intentional or not, but if it is, in the future you might want to add that to your comment box above, although we can only see it after the fact ;-).
all that said, there is no way this photo should have come in last place. this photo shows excellent contrast of object and the nothing-ness white background, its obviously a wheel, one of the keys the the rise of human civilization and transportation, and its got a cool edgy look. keep on shoot'n. tom

Pixelated, uberclose, and doesn't seem to have a point. |

I love the idea you had here, the negative space is very artistic, but I would have balanced it out so the wheel made up one quarter of the whole shot. The biggest problem here is that the wheel is very pixely and out of focus, which makes me think you probably had to do a lot of cropping and interpolating to get this shot up to the size you wanted for submission. There is a great tutorial on the site on how to sample up that might help in that regard! :) |

This is too grainy, too strange and too white. Keep working on your technique! - 1 |

Interesting compostion. Looks a little over edited for my taste. |

the thumbnail of this photo drew me in, however, seeing the actual size.. it seems a bit pixelated. (sp?) I'm not sure if that was post processing that did it, your camera, etc.. it had potential, but the pixelated look turns me away.. |

Maybe too highbrow for this forum? But cool photo anyway |

Not much to see here and wheel very pixelated maybe because of very small file size. Or it could all be deliberate but not my cup of tea. |

good idea, but the quality is suffering here. |

Looks to me as though it could be an inline skate wheel, but does look as though it is a touch out of focus. I would have gone with a higher F Stop to gain a greater DOF so the viewer an pick out more detail, and would probably have shown a bit more of the wheel. |

I really like your idea on this one. The composition and colors are excellent. The high level of contrast has blown out a lot of details and left just too many "artifacts". I think for this to work better it would be important to understand what this is - other than just a wheel. |

I think this would work well if it were not so pixelated. The skate wheel is a little dark too. |

This might have worked well as an entry for 'Negative Space'! |

The title tells me that this has somethign to do with transportation, but I can't determine what I'm looking at in the image and can't relate it to the challenge. Your choice to pixelate this image doesn't seem to add to the theme.
I'm sure this is some artistic interpretation of the challenge. It is probably also over my head... - setzler |

Creative, artsy, blurry and fun. |

Interesting composition with lots of negative space. Is this a wheel of an inline skate? |

OOF, and I would like to see more of the wheel. |
