My brother flies this machine for a living (what a job!) The original plan was to get a shot of them from the end of the runway, so the edges of the runway itself would be the leading lines. A shot like that turns out to be very difficult to achieve.

I shot this as they were waiting for passengers to arrive, and I liked the curved lines leading to the plane.

I did get a few shots of them taking off -- I 4-wheeled my Blazer over to the airport fence, then set up an 8' ladder on top to be able to see the runway. But then they wound up taking off away from me instead of towards me. :(

So I had to settle for this one.

Interesting, but that blown sky is a bit distracting.

Excellent example of lines leading to a subject. Perhaps I'd like more line on the left and less hangar on the right.

Leading lines or curves generally have two purposes. One is to lead the viewer into the scene. The other is to lead you toward the main subject. It is most effective if they come in from the lower left because that is the natural direction humans visually scan a picture from so are easiest to pick up.

Classic curve from the left directing attention to the plane.
