I have just received a sewing machine like this one (Singer), but still in perfect working condition. Nice photo

It might have been more effective to underexpose slightly to bring out the saturation in the backgrounds the main subject could be profiled without loss ... I think that would have made the picture much more effective.

Nice and sharp, but perhaps a bit too bright for my liking - perhaps it's because the background is brighter than the subject? I don't know. I can't quite put my finger on it. I also find the shadow-play a bit distracting, making it hard to see the lovely patterns in the iron.

I do like the way you have composed the shot, concentrating on only part of the sewing machine. It makes the viewer think a bit to work out what it is.

I think this would be a stronger entry if more of the actual machine was in the shot and the title was different.
