FIRST IMPRESSION: Great theme, outstanding macros, but that red spot is distracting.
CHALLENGE: Meets the challenge.
COMPOSITION: The composition of the individual shots and the group is excellent. Given the editing rules were suspended for this challenge I wonder if you could have altered to color of the red spot on the leaf in Photoshop. It keeps pulling my eye back from anything else I want to loo at.
TECHNICAL: The technical aspects of these shots are excellent. I like the short depth of field and the exposure is outstanding.
CONCLUSION: a strong composition, and deserving of it's 6+ score.
Thanks for sharing and good luck in future challenges! |

The top images would look better if they were the same height. It kills the balance and symmetry by making the right side jut out into the bottom shot. |

The way how you captured the different flyes work very well. The different sizes of the photos brings quite a lot of appeal to the photo. |

Nice images but I don't like the way that the top right image cuts into the lower image.
That red spot the yellow fly is stepping into also isn't appealing.
Lastly, wondering what the pinky beigy background is on the right side of the lower image?
Definitely an interesting collection, but layout not strong for me. |

wo Excellent close-ups. I love bug shots. Looks like the top bug drank too much blood and vomitted. lol. Good job. Beautiful colours. Jacko. 9 |

I like each individual photo, but the composition of the three is a bit jarring. The color you captured is incredible. |

i don't understand why you didn't crop out a bit of the top of the right picture and have an even break between the top pictures and the bottom picture . . . everything else is very well done. |

Gorgeous use of depth of field, lovely sharp capture. I'd love to know what that blood red spot is. |

Three fine photos...I think a little tighter crop on each and more black space would strengthen the overall composition. |

Brilliant! Well-captured images and good layout. The red blob makes me cringe a bit! |

Very nicely done! The flies aren't quite perfect, but darn close. I like your idea very much and love the bright colored flies. 10 Rob the Swash |
