A nice emotion effect. With the lighting evened out across the bottom petals, it would even be stronger. |

I don't like the shadow at the bottom of the flower, it really takes away from the image. |

The way the light builds up in intensity is very interesting, almost magical. |

I counted 70 flower shots (not counting the ones with bugs) in this challenge. This one I ranked a little lower because of the uneven lighting. The outer portions of the flower are so dark with the lower portion being in complete shadow. The focus is good, however |

very nice lighting...the colors are nicely muted, giving a real pleasant, peaceful feeling. for some reason, it looks upside down though |

Love this cactus flower, me thinks this is someone I know from Arizona :) |

6 - Good concept. I would give it more but I know what a magnificent flower this is and a macro of the centre would have been great. An amazing flower. Wonderful perfume too. I like the cactus stems in the background too, though for me, more color or contrast of them, 'using them' as a background more (or even closer and the contrast of textures), would have made this better. |

I'd like to see different lighting with this flower. |

Excellent lighting and great focus. I'm not fond of the subject but overall a nice photo. Well done and good luck in this challenge. <7> |

Shame the light is killed halfway down the petals. I'd like to have seen the transition from light to dark more subtle |

Great contrast and excellent detail. Very nice dramatic lighting although the shadow on the bottom of the flower is a bit distracting. I think there is too much empty space on the left. |
