WOW - I guess there's no accounting for taste, huh? Thought this was top 10 finisher for sure. Great shot - you should still be proud of this one! |

Fantastic clarity and magnificent colors! I'm amazed at the DOF over the entire damselfly. Beautiful shot! 9 Bumping up to 10. Incredible DOF! |

Great detail! Nice colors on the dragonfly. Could be cropped a little tighter, losing the right side of the photo IMO. Nice DOF. |

I have a fascination for dragon flys. Good capture. |

Nice macro of the bug, good color and sharpness. A tighter crop on the right to eliminate the red flower I think would be more effective, that red draws my eye away from your subject |

The red flower is distracting and the composition is a little awkward and tight at the top and bottom of the dragonfly. |

Nice colors, focus and texture. Interesting perspective in a challenge full of simular shots. |

Great sharp focus. Composition feels a little funky, but I like it. Good DOF to soften the busy background. |

I like the bluet/damsel but the red has no real use but drawing the eye from the damsel. I'd crop it verticle or shoot a different angle to get the red back in if really needed. |

Nice detail, the focus is spot on. I think the red flower in the back ground draws to much attention. |

Greta capture of this Damsel. The focus is great and the subject fits well into the composition. |

8 - Very nice. Love that aqua color. Nice 'hair'. With or without the 'red'?.. for me, without. |

amazing picture, but the red distracts my eye from the damsel fly just a bit |

I wish her wings were out. The blue and black is a nice contrast. Maybe crop out some of the green and concentrate on her more. The detailing on her is good though. |

To me this is an attempt to force a picture into the rule of thirds. I think the empty space on the right does not contribute to the picture. You have a natural diagonal line with the dragonfly and I would have preferred you use that. |
