Great contrast and good composition.

Love the border effect.

Good perspective shot. I don't like how close the crop is on top. The other train in the background would be better if it were gone, but its not too major of a distraction. This engine though is a good find. Nice pic

What a cool old engine. Part of the front seems to be in a very sharp focus and part of it seems to be somewhat soft. Not sure if it is just lighting making it appear that way or if you focused on the engines number and ended up with the entire engine being slightly soft. I like soft focus though and the only thing that might make thei better would have been doing a sepia tone to give it the aged look to help hide the softness.

i really like this image, the use of black and white really adds to the overall feeling that this image casts, good work 5

A little tight, but nice.

love the lines. Looks a bit soft though, maybe sharpening a bit would help. Jacko. 7 nice use of B&W by the way.

Great shot, especially in black and white...classic transportation.

Nice photo. Cropped a little close at the top. I think I would have liked it in color better. Good luck in the challenge.

You've done an excellent job with this. Nice soft feel to this and excellent perspective.

I'm a sucker for train pictures, I like this one. A vertical shot might let you keep the framing while elimitating the diesel engine on the left. Where'd you find this engine? Its getting harder to find antique engines still in service (albeit tourism service) Nice work -8- Mav

Great angle on this and the size of the front almost makes up for having such a washed out sky. B&W works well, but I wonder what this would look like in color.

I personally think this should have been in color, B&W works well to show shape/surface detail or a subject that can over powered by the color around it..

Nice postcard feel to it, thanks to the border, but think it would have been better to position the train more to the left, so it is the only one in the frame, and possiblly have taken it as from portrait angle, thus getting in the top bit which has been cropped.
