The large blurry object being so up front in the frame, and taking up more then half the image, really draws my eye to it - so my eye is looking at a blurry blob.

I would suggest that instead with this image, that you switch your focus - have the back object blurry, and your front object in focus. Would make viewing easier on my eyes.

the out of focus front part is just distracting. If the front were in focus and the rear blurred, I'd like it.

I still haven't figured out what this is? :) I like this very much, it is very interesting. The only complaint that I have, is that the image seems a tad overprocessed.

I may have liked this better if the in focus section had been reversed. Difficult to tell but this way round does not do much for me.
