a little busy just south of the equator there on the right. A tropical storm, I assume? Nice interpretation of the challenge!

The background is a little distracting. |

For this contest everyone who has the word âcircleâ in their title is getting a lower score. This is a copy and paste version that I am including in every photo that I downgrade due to the title. We as members of DPchallenge know the topic of the challenge â we do not need to reread the topic every time we reach a photo. If circle is in the title and it is appropriate I will most likely not down grade, but it better be good. I am sorry if you do not agree with my method of protest â but scores are all I have. |

apart from the equatorial bulge which makes it an oblate spheroid, or perhaps you meant the model which is more likely spherical or perhaps the equator which could be argued about. What the he..., I need to get some sleep.
Nice pic of a globe. good focus, nice colours, fits the challenge - lacks wow factor |

I like the "not quite horizontal" angle of the shot. Loved the background until the top right corner made me realize it's probably a blanket on a couch? Close? A little more cropping would have left it a complete mystery. |

the background is distracting, and I feel like maybe it's cropped too tightly. and I guess a globe seems a little out of place on a blanket. |

I like this. I tried a globe also (did not submit it). Mine was blue and I had water as the background. Because I did that - searched for a background - I appreciate your choice of the soft fabric behind these particular colors in the globe. Nice. 8 |

In my opinion a dark background would have really added to this photo. The background is quite distracting. The globe is awesome, the worn look, it could proberly tell some stories. Good luck |

you've definitely nailed the challenge topic. i think a few things could be done to spice this shot up and make it more compelling: i like the lighting on the globe but think it could be pushed further so that there was a greater difference between the highlights and the shadows, the background feels a little uncontrolled, with the folds in the blanket and the top right corner, the angle of the globe feels a little uninteresting, right smack dab across the equator, and a different angle might help. These are just my own personal opinions, so take them for what they're worth. 5 |

Actually, it's a perfect ball not a circle. The globe is well taken but the background blanket just doesn't go with it very well. |

Recent studies have shown that the earth is not quite a perfect circle. |

I'd love this with a dark background and a single light source. Nice rich coloration of the globe. |
