what is this doing way down here? This should have been on the first page in my eyes. Excellent in so many ways - I'm sorry ugly bugs scored higher than this! :-)

A shame really. Should have scored much higher.
This picture did not get the score it deserved.

Superb shot! The black lines leading into this shot are perfect for drawing your attention into the softness of the center of this flower. Such a lovely color of salmon or pink. Then the details in the pistols of the flower bring you right back out and lead your eye out into the luscious blue of the flowers petals. I only gave one 8,9,10 and for you I gave a 9. Unbelievable it didn't do better! Cheers....Martin

lovely colours. Great use of DOF to create a strong effect. Red background on the left top and bottom is a bit distracting. May be better changed to black. 8

Not bad, but would have loved it if the focused area reached further down into the center of the flower.

I love the colors here! Very nice perspective too. I really like the soft focus feel, but I feel like there's something not quite right about the DOF. It might be the haloing from the pistols, but I'm not sure.

I love the texture of the photo it reminds me of a piece of velvet. I think it was an awsome idea you have here with the decision to blur most of the flower turning it into pure color.

Simply stunning, White border sets it off nicely. Has this been hue shifted?

Looks like a cool special fireworks display. More DOF or just cropped closer to the center would help.

5 - Would have liked to see this flower with it's detail, especially given those colors if they are natural. For me, too much 'blur'.

Not many blue flowers. This is really interesting how you softened it in areas. Would look great blown up quite large and singly hung in a contemporary setting. 8

I counted 70 flower shots (not counting the ones with bugs) in this challenge. I like the color in this one. The very narrow DOF is interesting, however, my eye keeps wanting to search for a more definate area to focus on. 8
