Ilike the title! Nice, tich colors, but I can't find a focal/focus point. |

contrast is a bit harsh and focus too soft |

I like this as a rose abstract though I think more of the focus should have been in the middle instead of to the back of the flower. It is a bit murky too though I think brightening it might have lost some the shadows that help with the abstraction. |

Real fuzzy - would be much nicer in focus. |

I think this needs to be more sharply focused |

Just a nice more abstract looking shot not so predictable... |

While this is a beautifully and artfully moody shot, I do have a couple of problems with it. The brighter of the reds look oversaturated. IMO, the border is unnecessary (though I did not take off for it) - the way the photo is cropped is enough (for me at least) to define itself; the frame is 'extra' and really isn't needed. (Like I said, it's a beautiful shot.) The biggest problem I have with it, though, is that in scoring a macro/close-up photo, I place a heavy emphasis on clarity of texture and detail. IMO, a macro should show detail that may not be obvious to the naked eye or to the casual observer. I like the shot, and in a different challenge (where I would not place so much emphasis on sharp focus), I would have scored this a 7 or 8. For this challenge, because of the oversaturated red and the lack of clarity, I am scoring this a 5. |

IMHO the shadows are to dark and the focus is way to soft. |

Too fuzzy for me. No real focal point |

It feels like this pic just simply overprossesed. Its a good shot, but with odd and unnatural colors, and dosen't have anything that is tack sharp for the eye to go to. |

This would be much more effective for me if it were in focus. The folds of the petals and the dark to light is nice, but doesn't work well without the sharpness a macro requires. Hope this helps. :~D |

Very nice colors, it would have been great if it was in focus. |

It is not as it is full focus, but it might be intentional to have it kind of mystic. Good background for an advertisement;-) |

I counted 70 flower shots (not counting the ones with bugs) in this challenge. |

This really seems out of focus. |
