Beautiful image of a strawberry. Unfortunately, it takes my eye right to the bad spot on the upper left of the berry. Nothing else in the image tells me that was supposed to be there.

The light looks especially good around the stem and the black is a nice background. Maybe a healthier looking strawberry would have looked better?

Nice lighting - like a planet in space - works well with your title. Would be nicer with a fresher specimen (the bruise on the strawberry is distracting. Also I'ddarken the background more - even get rid of the line at the bottom. I like the way the leaves curl up and catch the light on the right hand side.

Very nice. The strawberry seems to haave a flaw at the top. I think it would have been a better photo without that.

I hope i'm not sounding mean when I say a fresher strawberry would have worked better. Otherwise not bad.

This photo could have been an 8. The lighting is great, the composition very nice, the colors excellent. What brings the score down for me is your subject. The obvious care which you employed in setting up the shot seems to be discarded by using less than perfect fruit. Neither your title nor your set-up implies that you are emphasizing the imperfections in the fruit. Instead, it gives the impression of being hastily chosen, which feels incongruous with the rest of the setup. Bearing in mind that this is only my interpretation, I'm giving this a 6.

Really great topic, however your subject is in pretty bad shape. If you did this same shot with a nicer looking strawberry, you'd have a winner.

I'm giving this a 5. It would have scored higher but there is no detail in the shadows and you have a few overexposed parts on the berry. A little more contrast and it would have really popped also. Great composition though.
