color is good, lighting is flat and doesn't make this otherwise stunning photo come to life.

The halo is a bit distracting round the bloom. The petals are really beautiful they look like velvet

Nice colors and detail on the rose. Lighting seems a little bit off to me...not sure how...but there's a bit of a halo around the rose. Perhaps if it were lit more from the back? I'm no good at lighting stuffs. I like the composition of the shot quite a bit.

the flash lighting overwhelms the subtle beauty of the rose

Unsightly halo all around the flowerand leaves, would probably have been better to crop this tighter not leaving so much negative space.

The lighting seems a bit harsh, IMO.

The simple and elegant rose............... Nice detailing and the rich red is quite pretty. This is an effective use of negative space. Gives the rose more pow!

Giant halo around the flower. The red is exquisite.

Very nice I think you could have cropped just a bit from the bottom and it would have not pulled my eye from the subject as much ... to me the empty space here is non productive.

I counted 70 flower shots (not counting the ones with bugs) in this challenge. This one I counted lower because it appears maybe oversharpened. Sharpening can cause that while halo around your subject and this one is rather thick. The rose itself is pretty, however

shadows to harsh and look at that halo around the image
