Hello from the Critique Club,

I remember looking at this picture during the challenge and thinking, "What?!?". Looking at your portfolio, it seems that you often like to use different perspectives? Looking at this picture again, what strikes me the most are the beautiful colours, not the "daring" perspective.

This is an interesting entry. The strange perspective is definitely what hits you first. The curved yellow street lines at the bottom of the photo make the whole thing look even stranger. The picture is clear, in focus, the colours are excellent, as is DOF. But you know all of that.

As for improving the photo, I wish the Jeep were not there. Otherwise, I don't know, it looks fine to me the way it is. In some ways, though, it's more like a "snapshot" than like a picture you'd want to hang on your wall. Also, as far as the challenge is concerned, even though it meets the challenge, "transportation" is not the first thing that comes to mind when I look at it.

Keep up the good work!

Ursula A.

the crooked house really throws the shot off for me, it makes everything feel out of proportion.

I can appreciate the hilliness of SF with this pic. But honestly I don't like the angle of this shot or leveling the shot to the trolley. I'd have like to seen this a little more from the front or back of the trolley, more like a 3/4 shot instead of a full side view.

Why do people have to stare when you take a photo of the Cable Car? Just act natural people ;o) Nice Shot. I like your choice in angling this photo, but their is too much shadow inside the car then I would have liked.

Great concept, makes one think, either it is the tram which is streight or the houses! Good one!

I like the angle on the shot. It gives an indication of the wacky gradients on the streets there. Great sky colour too.

The photo is good but the angle of the house I really don't like.

The house being at an angle really makes this photo disorienting to look at. Wonderful sky though!

I like what you've done here to level out the tram - clever. Good title, too. Nice work.

fun and good colors. the house indicates that you aren't even showing the hill as steep as it is!?!?! cool.

Like what you have down with your angles, as it does tend to generate more interest, yet I feel it also helps to distract your focus from the subject.

Interesting shot. Why does the house seem to be more slanted than the road? Love the sky and the clouds. Good shot.
