I have to say, I like that there is no harsh shadows. As for circles, there are so many I couldn't even count them, also a good thing. I like the edge of the pot peeking into the frame and the pour is good. But the drink itself (coffee?) looks disgusting, i don't like the splashes on the countertop, i think the cup itself should be lower on the saucer (in the frame), the space from the edges of the saucer to border MUST be TOTALLY symetrical or not even close, and I would have much preferred this shot in black and white and really contrasty so the liquid is almost pure black and the countertop is almost pure white. Basically a good idea that was rushed, and might have scored a 10 otherwise...I'm giving it a 5 for potential. Re-shoot!

For this contest everyone who has the word âcircleâ in their title is getting a max 10 score. This is a copy and paste version that I am including in every photo that I upgrade to 10 due to the title. We as members of DPchallenge need to be reminded of the topic of the challenge â we really need to reread the topic every time we reach a photo. If circle is in the title and it is appropriate I will give a 10. I am sorry if you do not agree with my method of voting â but scores are all I have.

Good focus and clarity. Nice creative shot. I like the pattern of your china. The picture is just a bit noisy with artifact that is very distracting. You can clean that up by using noise reduction software which is on most photo editing programs.

For this contest everyone who has the word âcircleâ in their title is getting a lower score. This is a copy and paste version that I am including in every photo that I downgrade due to the title. We as members of DPchallenge know the topic of the challenge â we do not need to reread the topic every time we reach a photo. If circle is in the title and it is appropriate I will most likely not down grade, but it better be good. I am sorry if you do not agree with my method of protest â but scores are all I have.

Ahh, if only there was a little steam coming up from the cup, nice shot!

Using china is a nice touch in this photo. The background seems just a little flat - maybee greyish but I like it very much. 8

this is really a wonderful and delicious photo. the stream is so clear and every detail of the cup and saucer is precise and delicate. I believe that if members were only allowed to vote in the morning, you would take the ribbon. Good luck. You deserve to end up in the top 10 percent.

You find circles in the most obvious places, all you have to do is open your eyes and mind! Good shot.

Very good technically. Lighting may be a tad flat, though. Good job.

You spilled coffee on the table, and while the drop is a circle, I have to ding you for it. Nice stop-action shot, good color on the coffee - I might have added a bit more milk to the cup just for coloration - I think it would smooth out the in-cup surface.

Relevance to challenge (2):0.5, not a two simply because at this angle the circles are ellipses.
Color/Lighting/Exposure (2): 1 - I would lhave liked to have seen what this looks like with warmer darker lighting, maybe not putting cream in the cup would have made it darker and warmer as well.
Sharpness/Picture Quality (2): 2 - very nice, everything is sharp and in focus
Composition (2): 1.5 - I like the line of the coffee being poured on the left third, I think the whole thing might have been a little better positioned if the cup was on the lower third and maybe more of the pitcher in the picture as well if you would have moved the whole crop higher.
Creativity/Originality (2): 1.5 - I like it.

There is a comfortable quality to this. Nice composition. The china pattern is a tad busy, but overall, I like this. Nice rich coloration. Perhaps a darker background would give it a bit more POP.
