For this contest everyone who has the word âcircleâ in their title is getting a max 10 score. This is a copy and paste version that I am including in every photo that I upgrade to 10 due to the title. We as members of DPchallenge need to be reminded of the topic of the challenge â we really need to reread the topic every time we reach a photo. If circle is in the title and it is appropriate I will give a 10. I am sorry if you do not agree with my method of voting â but scores are all I have.

For this contest everyone who has the word âcircleâ in their title is getting a lower score. This is a copy and paste version that I am including in every photo that I downgrade due to the title. We as members of DPchallenge know the topic of the challenge â we do not need to reread the topic every time we reach a photo. If circle is in the title and it is appropriate I will most likely not down grade, but it better be good. I am sorry if you do not agree with my method of protest â but scores are all I have.

Is this roadrunner? I recognize the umbrella from a shot on your website

Apologies to the photographer if I'm mistaken :)

Anyhow, this is a well composed shot, I like how you've made your subject dark and unidentifiable placing most of the attention on the umbrella. I just wish that it wasn't a barbie umbrella ;)

Technically faultless IMO, not much I would have changed here apart from the brand name umbrella.

An 8 from me and good luck with the challenge

Nice sharp silhouette. It combines well with the mid-tones of the umbrella.

This is just really great...beautiful B & W tonality...this would not have been the same in color...I can just imagine the garish pink....ewwwwww...a very pleasing and fun image.

Black and white was a good idea for this. Barbie pink would just be silly, grey is moody and rainy. Nice.

Fit to challenge criteria: 2/2
Contrast/Colors: 1/2
Photo Quality: 1/2
Composition: 1/2
My subjective affinity: 0/2

Relevance to challenge (2): 1- Circles are present but not prominent
Color/Lighting/Exposure (2): 1.5- nice silhouette (see composition)
Sharpness/Picture Quality (2): 2
Composition (2): 1 - try cropping the sides and the top to remove some sky and produce a more pleasing balance between light and dark. Cropping the right side midway between the umbrella sections would have removed the bright spot in the lower right is distracting, then cropping the left side till the figure is on the right 3rd of the picture would have helped. Cropping the top down till you can still tell its an umbrella but places the horizon a little higher along the lower third gridline might help.
Creativity/Originality (2): 2-I like it. it made me look.

love the feeling this portrays, but come on! A barbie unbrella lol sorry, it's a great picture and I'm sure the brolly was picked just for the circles right? 7

If this didn't have "barbie" on it, I might like it even more. The words are a tad distracting. Nice composition though.
