Lucky early morning shot, just a few hours later we had a huge wind and rain storm. This was taken from the Burnside bridge looking southwest. You can see part of waterfront park. During our "ROSE" festival in June the Navy ties their the ships up along the sea wall. The water you see is the Willamette River. The Burnside Bridge, built in 1926, is a double-leaf bascule drawspan. The bascule system for the bridge was designed by Joseph B. Straus, designer of the Golden Gate Bridge in San Fransisco, CA.

i like the notion of a cityline, but the murky looking water doesn't make the scene very appealing.

Not a bad photo. I think the colors of this one are a little weird, which may be the case for real. The trees seem a little to yellow and I think the overall photo is just a little bright. I wish it were just a fuzz sharper too.

Ooooh, I like that sweeping curve of wood against the green of the grass. Nice!

I met a girl from Portland a long time ago, we had a good time so just for that you get an extra point :-) Good composition here, taken from a bridge I guess? And of course it just reeks "postcard"!

This seems to tilt to the right

Amazing it isn't raining. :) Nice shot but looks a little tilted to the right.

It looks like all the buildings are slightly slanted to the right. I love the vantage point you chose though. Good job!

This could have used something to lessen the haze. also, the picture is tilted down to the right, 2 maybe 3 degrees. I also think the text is too much. Lower left corner and smaller, maybe.

I would love to visit Portland, BTW.
