I like the idea of this but it leaves me wanting more. I'm missing much contrast. I think that's essential for a black and white image. The perspective is looming. I wish you were more in front of him with the tomatoes in focus and the man more blurred, but that's just me.
Hmmm - maybe if you played with contrast and levels, you might be able to enrich the overall tonality of it. I don't mind the slight saturation of the tomatoes, but maybe a slight boost in color would give it some more pop.

Great focus and composition. I like the selective desat too, but the red is a little understated for my taste. As a Southerner myself, I love tomato sandwiches and had several from my own garden! :-) Very nice photo. |
