 Swallow and four fledglings in our barn..taken during the afternoon with a flash. Cropped, levels, unsharp mask, curves, shadow/highlights...added a little burn to the chicks heads to darken them; also darkened the side of nest with burn tool.

evokes a very strange emotion in me.. used to watch these guys for hours when i was young. your pic is just so sharp, great colors and very good composition. well done

Cute lil baby birds. I'm not fond of the composition of this shot. The very low POV gives the mama bird an ominous look. Would love to see it shot from a level even with the babies.

Very good picture. I'm surprised you were able to get this close. The swallows at my Dad's house dive bomb us if we get to close to their nest. I've always tried to get pictures of them, but I'm trying too hard not to get hit. I'm impressed.
