nice capture, ray! yeah, we both know you were asking a bit too much out of that lens...i know of a mint condition 300mm f/2.8 that retails for $3700 that can be had for about a grand less--any interest?

it does appear that you did well with those who stopped long enough to comment; my guess is that the detail you lost from the cropping is what did you in in the end. valiant effort, though!

Great shot. The small amount of blur gives the impression of motion from the players and the ball. You get the feeling that the runner is barely to the plate before the ball. The angle of the shot makes it look like the 1st baseman is going to miss that ball anyway.

Nice moment, although the guy at the back is gonna have a headache. :) Photographically, it's lost a bit from lack of clarity/focus in an area of the shot.
