Wow! Really like this picture... Great composition and nice use of DOF.
The only bit that I'm not so keen on is the rather hard edge of the top of the boots against the white background.
I'm probably being a bit picky though as it does kind of add something to the image... |

I was looking through your photos and this one caught my attention. I think it's great. The background is very bright but you can still see the thin lace, that's hard to do.. for me anyways. The colors of the whole image are also eye catching, I like the mix. Good job |

Just love this. Incredible how much you can convey with such a simple and everyday pair of items. Nicely composed. Plain white background works quite well. Like the sharpnes of detail on the mud on the front toe but blurriness everywhere else. That lace laying to the right just makes the composition. 9 |

I've had days like this. Great Idea but many probably won't make the connection to the theme. Great comp and an interesting DOF. |

Love this image! In my top. Great composition. This would make a lovely stock photo. Even though I personnaly love shallow DOF, I think that this kind of shot would have better impact with deeper DOF. :) 9 |

I really like the shallow depth of field on this one. One of my tops for the challenge. |

Nice shot and love the shallow dof and contrast/sharpness but I dislike the white studio backround, I personally would have liked this more if it had been shot with a real backround to give it more context. In short, to "sterile" for my taste. |

Like the point of view, and the neat line of the lace on the right. Fun composition. 7 |

This is really wel lthought out. I love the crusty mud on the base of the boot and the way you faded the sharpness as you go up to the top. The laces laying as they do draws your eyes to the outert edge. Perfect use of negative space with the white as the background to create contrast. 8 |

What a great concept. I like everything about it, especiall the trailing shoestring. The edges of the top part of the boots are a problem for me. |

very little is in focus. I would have tried to keep at least the front boot in better focus. |
