I agree with some of the commenters that this could have used a touch more contrast.. and maybe not so strong a yellow cast in your sepia toning. However, it's a very touching photograph, literally and figuratively :) |

I'd love to see more contrast here, maybe crop tighter to just the hand and finger, burn around the edges to draw strengthen the composition - for anyone who's been here - with a little one struggling, this is a powerful image |

Nice shot. The title makes it a little more real. The skin lacks highlights and appears muddy. Focus is nice and sharp. |

Not sure how the title is supposed to convey family - to me it conveys despair, heartbreak, sympathy. But not family. It could be anyone's finger - a nurse, a doctor and there is nothing to indicate incubator except the title. Nice lighting, color (range of grays) and good focus. 7 |

Amazing subject. This comes so close, but the composition is a little off for me. |

now this is family in a nutshell. A ribbon winner for sure. This is a brilliant piece of photography and shows how fragile life can be, I love it. 10 |

might be the shadow placements here - but something here just is not working. Wish I could be of more help on this. |

Very sweet. i believe this picture could be a little brighter. The position of the infants arm seems a bit strange to me. When I first saw this picture, I saw the tiny fingers, but It took me a little while to figure out what the rest was. If it was possible, I think that holding the hand a little above the baby and shooting down where you can see more of the baby would also be a neat shot. |

AWWW. All the textures are nice. I'd bring up the contrast a smidge more and maybe crop out some of the top and right to concentrate on the baby's tiny hand and the adult's forefinger. |
