The overall quality in this photo is a little poor. Its a little bit soft, flat, and the over exposed highlights are distracting. For the softness, a little sharpening would bring out alot of the details. For the flatness, bringing the contrast up would really make the image pop out to the viewer. For the highlights, its difficult to fix in PP but when shoting try setting your exposure compensation on your camera to -2/3 or -1 then later on in PP you can brighten it up but keep more of the highlights.

Excellent idea ... the exposure is a bit too bright to me I think some level correction might be able to correct that ... I think cropping out a good bit of the rock at the bottom would give the shot more emotional punch.

Maybe a bit overexposed in spots?

Oh, THIS is a beautiful! What a perfect, PERFECT family photo! I wish it were exposed just a tad less. If not for the slight over-exposure, I would want this one to win blue. What an amazing capture! 9

little more contrast and saturation will make this a winner.

I think this would be so much more powerful if you converted it to black and white and you could really up the contrast. With the rock and the animal fur being so much the same color, it all kind of blends together. The focus is nice and the lighting is well done, so maybe that might give it some PUNCH by applying a filter. Hope this is helpful.

Sweet image, though over-exposed causing hotspots and lack of detail.

need to adjust your WB so that you don't get the sun whiteing out the back of the gorilla - perhaps you could correct some with use of the burn tool.
