2 - DMC - Ok, there is some 'action', but it is a game, not a sport.

Very nice capture of chess action. I really like the grain. If poker is a sport, then so is chess! 7

I can see the blurry black thing is a game piece, but I don't like it in this image. Also seeing the tips of fingers at the top isn't appealing.

Good grainwork and tones. The motion blur gives this image action. Well done. Judi

Best chess shot so far. At least you give the feeling of action.

yes, you have caught some 'action', but i am sure you have been hammered unmercifully for both your take on the challenge and the photo quality. my guess is that you probably would have done better if you had included the other two elements of sport--beer and blood...

anyways, it's obvious that you have the equipment and imagination to do better--it's just a matter of how you use it. you might want to check out this thread. good luck!

maybe it's the marble of the chess set? or maybe alot of noise? either way it's a nice photo

When did chess enter the world of sport? ;)

It's tilting, which would have been an asset if it were just a bit more. The grain adds a nice touch but feels a bit overdone.

i dont know if u added the image noise on purpose, but i think it does a lot of damage to the photo...

Nice action. Grain and dof not my liking. The b&w, shadows and lighting very much my liking.
