This is a very beautiful photograph. It's compelling ..,. makes me want to come back to look at it again and again. Why? In reverse order of appeal for me: 5=colours (striking); 4=textures (terrific range of textures, especially love the long grasses by the shoulder of the road); 3=composition (simple, graphic, very "artistic"); 2=je ne sais quois (It's got something I can't describe, but I like it); 1=puzzled (a favourite photographer).

for such a simple subject, this photo really grabs me.

This is a wonderful capture, nice point of view... The colors are wonderful. I just think the road is a little blue, but at the same time it is interesting like that since it makes a nice contrast with the green fields. About the sign i don't think it is that distracting but i would go with the crop to. The black parts are just to dark, don't really know if they were really like that or if it was done in any software. If it is done in the software maybe you could make it diferent don't know what to sugest since i don't know how the original is.
Besides all this i think you have a really nice photo here a keeper for sure and maybe a printable for your wall..
Great job.

Nice perspective. It feels like you really are looking down-hill. As others have mentioned, clone out the sign on the left, and maybe work on the very dark area on the top left. Something else that I think would add to the shot is maybe a bicycle just coming around the corner...but maybe not, just a thought.

Good find, well captured. Those dots really make this picture unique. If you want richer colors, try duplicating the the picture as a new layer and use the multiply blend mode at differing opacities.

Really like this one puzzled. The sharpness (graininess, you called it in the thread) adds to it IMO. Especially like that the road is outlined with the reflectors, they look like dots on the sides. Great geometrical symmetry with the guard rails, the reflectors, the pavement, the yellow grass in the ditches, and the green fields on both sides, leading beautifully from bottom left into the earth at top right. That's my take!

nice composition. just be sure to explore different perspectives when you come across a find like this (ie, try shooting from ground level, holding the camera high over your head, etc.). keep it up!

I see an slight blue cast over the image making it feel "cold", don't know if its because of the time the pic was taken, I feel early in the morning. Crop the lower part off, at the top of the pole level, and you gain a deal of deepness as you loose the widening effect on the road and the right hand side of the road not having the fence.

Yes, as for the signpost at the left, I'd either crop it out altogether, or make sure the photo includes the whole end of the fence (if the end of the fence is just there).

A nice image and I agree about the crop

Love this shot! Road/path shots are so emotive. The detail in the grass is awesome. I would have included part of what was above the horizon in the shot, but that may not have been the best option at this site. One would have to see the lay of the land to know. Beautifully done.

i wouldnt include that little signboard on the left bottom corner of the photo. Would probably crop it off. Like the blue tarmac tho.
