I liked the peeling paint in contrast to the beauty of the model. I am a little uncomfortable with how dark she is as I found the bright window was taking my focus off the model. (you knew someone had to say something stupid like that huh!) :) |

darn.. didnt vote on this one but wouldve surely scored you high for not shooting a flag or a bald eagle. love the lighting and how they make her contours flow. keep up the good work.
ps-have you ever read Ayn Rand's definition of photography? its quite interesting. |

I like this shot a lot. Not for it's nudity but more so because it stands out above everyone else because it's different. A personal preference I guess. I hope the soft focus is intentional. The curves of her body against the geometric forms of the window sash and the trees in the horizon create a sense of struggle. Quite exquisite. |

There is untold independence in the lovely human body. A pleasant, sensual and evocative image to add interest. |

on the 100% crop, does it show a creepy old man staring out the window of the building next door? :) |

the title/subject matter works well. i'm just not sure about the setting, an open window, though i do like the strong backlight. |

I love fine art nudes and shoot a lot of them, but this one doesn't feel "arty" to me. I think it is hard to please people when it comes to this subject matter. Because I am a woman, I look at nudes much differently than a man would. The shoes make it feel "playboyish" it me. And keep in mind this is totally a personal preference. I aslo think her pose gives the same feel. It could be that this is what you are going for and if so great. I like to see nudes be about shape and form and the beauty of the human body and less about sexy. However, I think many people on the site are offended that someof us choose to shoot nudes and I think that it is great that you shoot what you want. Keep at it! |

Don't usually score nudes well but this is nicely done. Exp., pose, etc. really like the angle. 9. |

Hehe. Maybe you can make her take her clothes of again and hold a wooden stick for the wood challenge. |

Great work but a few little things spoil the image IMHO those are the dark ceiling area this really distracts from the models face and perhaps a little overexposed.

Amazing! This was the exact same thing that popped into my head when I read the challenge topic also! LOL |

I find this a bit to awkwardly posed almost unconfortable. If she would turn more towards the window and lean against it that would feel more natural. Or not ;-) |

The glare coming through the window is too harsh for my taste. The silhouette is ok, but the angle seems a bit awkward as does her pose. Her face is totally lost in shadow, which might have been your intent, but I find it less appealing than if you could have seen more of it with ligh hitting her face. |

I agree with you. That is how I saw this challenge, freedom to shoot whatever I wanted. I like this image and your angle, but maybe bumping up the contrast just a little would have given it that little extra. |

A good portrait will always get a high score from me. You will receive flak from the prudes about the nakedness of the subject but, this is a great portrait with good lighting! Would like to have seen a more contrast - 8 |

umm....wow....great model, great shot....you are going to get slammed probably on the fact that "it doesn't fit this challenge," but you get a 9 from me.....way to step out and try something a bit controversial. |

i don't know that you should have added the freedom = independence part to the title. i actually 'get' your point about how this shot says 'independence'. nice image, the light outside is a bit overpowering, but adds to the mood in some way too. |
