I was at the Monterey Bay Aquarium one Sunday and saw these magnificent creatures. These babies were just stunning as they moved in the water. These were the largest ones at about a foot and half across.

Since I couldn't use a flash in the dark display area, I had to do a handheld. Any tips on taking these more effectively?

I do love the way the blue gets darker as you go deeper.

Tagged! The lighting is great, I love the way you can see through the jellyfish. The blue and yellow create a nice contrast, and the gradient is really cool. Composition would have been tricky for this shot, but it looks good. Even using a tripod, do you think the movement of the jellyfish may have affected the picture anyway?

Really love the color and composition. They are very hard to capture through glass, you handled that well.

I love the color gradient in the water and the contrast in color between the water and the jellyfish. I would like to see a little more clarity on the jellyfish, but I understand this was taken at an aquarium, so I'm really not sure what to suggest for that. I like that you got enough jellyfish in there to keep the photo interesting...nicely done.
