This was the shot of the trip. This older gentleman was walking his, what I believe to be, Westie dogs.

I first looked at this and was brought to the man, then his dogs, then the huuuuge vista behind him. This is awesome, the order I should looking at things. The background is almost surreal, very good choice to go B/W. The composition works well to. One thing I would possibly suggest is to make the whites all the way white, and the blacks all the way black. There seems to be a little bit too much grey, I'd play around with the selective color or even a bit of contrast.

Great shot. I love the depth of the landscape. The man and his dogs works very well in the foreground as well.

I saw your profile said Ohio and then this picture definitely shouted Lake District to me ... easily confused :)

You're really captured the essence of the landscape, the softness in the background with the layers of hills and hedges and the winding road. The old bloke looks huddled up in his coat from the cold. Nice atmosphere.

I've nothing to add that hasn't been said, other than I really like this one as well.

Another nicely composed shot. This is my second favourite of yours after the stream & sheep shot. Maybe a bit cropped off the foreground, as keegbow suggests. Again, very nice in B&W. You are very good with leading lines. This is posterific!

Great composition! There seems to be a lot of noise in the shot though (not sure whether it's fog, mist, or just noise). I think that may be why the background looks like a painting or Hollywood set (it really does!). IMHO however, this works against the B/W choice - you might get better results in color? Just my 2 cents... This is still a very nice capture. (And I agree with the other commenters that you could shave a touch off the bottom.) :-)

I agree with keegbow on this one. Only thing I have to add is that the background almost looks like a painting. Job well done.

I really like the old world charm of this image it also is composed well with the position of the subject in just the right spot. I would have possibly cropped a little more of the foreground but that is just my taste.

This is really quite interesting. The backgrouds almost looks like an impressionist painting while the foreground has completely solid, nice tonal range. cool shot.
