What a nice image. Most voters will complain about the size. You get a 6 for a good effort on the image. had you taken the alloted space you are allowed you would scored much higher.

Nice shot. It would have benifited if you made it larger. I'm sure you'll get a lot of comments on that.

image too small to really evaluate. seems a bit out of focus and the highlights on the nose are burned out. doesn't stand out against formidable competition in the lion/tiger world

Why did you post such a litle photo. It's a nice one, shame it is so litle it almoust can't be seen.

Cute but with a too small size .

Nice shot and great subject. Nicely-composed portrait. This would do MUCH better if you'd used the entire 640 pixel width allowed, but as it is it's too small, and I'm sure it will get hammered in the voting because of that. I suggest you take a look at the "Learn" link and find the tutorial "Using Photoshop to Prepare Photos for DPC Challenges". You may not have that program, but it will give you a good idea of what's up and how you might improve your submissions in the future. Good luck to you, and I hope you continue to submit!

Aside from the obvious too small comment, the white balance is off, and the highlights are blue. Also, the contrast has room for improvement. Compositionally, this would have been nicer if you were able to get a closer shot of the face, possibly showing more detail.

small, hard to see :( appears out of focus. snapshot perspective.

As nice as your picture is, the size of the picture will hurt your score.

First entry into a challenge? Arghh you're going to hear this a dozen times..too small but I'm not going to vote you down for that, nice photo although you should have waited a little for the kitty to open his eyes..

Would be best to used maximum size allowed. Looks like a good picture, but too small to tell.

The pic is small and not focused very well.

This image loses it's impact because it's so small. Maybe shoot with higher resolution so when you crop it, it's still a decent sized image.
07/18/2005 01:30:35 AM
Why so small, this could well have been a top 10 had it been the full allowable size of 640pixels

Please, please, please ... make your photos bigger!
