 On the windowsill over the kitchen sink sits a few herb plants. I took a photo of the dirt in the chive pot. I've always leered over it and nudged it with a finger because of how spungy it is. It's very strange and it looks stranger in a photo.

When I look at this photo I find my eyes focused around the center, swinging up and down the curve of the spongy dirt. The blur at top right and bottom left rebounds my eyes. I feel like I can actually touch it (in fact, I could walk the few feet to the herb plant).

This picture shows great texture, it would have been better if the chives in the front of the image where in focus, IMO. I have noticed in your other pictures that you try to capture your subjects with interesting agles. I like that.
